This set of consonant blends books feature children as the main characters. The focus is words with consonant blends. These are basic four-letter phonetic words in sentences. Only short vowel sounds are used such as the “a” in clap. Each book has one or more sentences per page with just a few sight words per book. These books are great for emerging readers to have fun and success reading books. A sample page from one of the books is, “Gwen has her flag for the band. Gwen plans an act in the band.”
